MY BEGINNINGS

What I do now and how I became who I am today.

My name is Eddie Ortiz-Contreras but I go by Daniel. As you can see i'm a cartoonist! I draw very cute stuff and even do animation once and awhile. I was born in Lindsay, California on August 19th, 1998. I lived in California up until I was 12 and then moved to Spring hill, Tennessee. I was raised in a hispanic cultured family, my mom and  my step-dad. I'm the second child in my family and the first male but grew up alongside two younger siblings. I grew up as a kid who spent his days outside rather than inside. A lot of who I am now is inspired by video games, cartoons, music, my family, and my experiences growing up and meeting new people as I progressed through my life. I started drawing in 7th grade but it didn't actually catch on till I hit high school. I went to Independence High School, there is where my interest in animation and drawing really began. After 4 years of taking multiple art classes and learning many skills that would aid me in my journey, I finally was on my own to do with the knowledge I had retained up until then. Now i'm a 21 year old professional artist who draws all types of art from cute and soft, to dark and even lewd. I'm happy to say that even though I might have all kinds of experiences with drawing, meeting people along my way to help and support me, and even finding new types of media to share my talent with, my mission to becoming a true artist and animator has only begun!
